Time: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Venue: Hospital Fatimah, Ipoh
This intensive workshop is designed for surgical medical officers and surgical trainees, offering a hands-on and practical approach to developing fundamental laparoscopic skills. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of laparoscopic principles, including safe access, ergonomics, patient positioning, and the use of energy and ligation devices.
The programme features a combination of didactic lectures, live demonstrations, and interactive hands-on sessions focusing on hand–eye coordination, precision dissection, and both intracorporeal and extracorporeal suturing techniques. Small-group rotations and close expert supervision aim to enhance technical proficiency and confidence in performing basic laparoscopic procedures. The workshop will conclude with a knowledge assessment and certificate presentation.
Registration is limited to 20 participants and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close once the maximum number of participants is reached.
